My dad is out of the hospital, for now, but still has lingering symptoms of what put him there. The oncologist is giving up on his first choice treatment and I guess we’ll see how plan B fares? We thought he’d rally a bit by being home, but not so far. I feel like he’s mentally having a hard time, and it’s not easy to heal the physical when your brain/emotional state isn’t co-operating :(

I also tried REALLY hard to remember this time which Evil hand is damaged, and still almost forgot.

TEXT:

The lion horked and retched, the making of the world’s biggest hairball rippling its way up his heaving back. Then he chocked out a mangled, half dissolved fish, a couple of fully formed salmon, a brace of pigeons, a pattering of too many crabby legs, an adult dolphin, and an irate and alarmingly large octopus. Crack forced out a kitchen sink too, for flavour, then let the lion collapse. The sink dissolved into the ‘ground’ while the animals swam or flew away into the mist. The octopus attempted to fight its way back inside Lionel’s panting jaws, then Crack took pity on him and wished it away.

Evil danced a little jig and grinned at Crack, smiley face ball cap back in place, but boutonniere drooping. “That was FANTASTIC! It looked incredibly PAINFUL! I will treasure and replay that memory OFTEN when I’m alone at night!”
